International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women

In Australia, young women aged 18-24 are twice as likely to experience physical or sexual violence than older women.

At the same time, young people are the key to seeing domestic violence stop in this generation - we need to invest in young people now.


We’re pleased to see the State Government rolling out a domestic violence tool kit across schools in NSW - it’s a great first step, but it isn’t enough to deliver the change we need to see. That’s why we’ve urged the government to implement a whole school approach, with a proper implementation strategy and an independent evaluation process.
