Outburst! Western Sydney Youth Action Group takes action on issues that affect young people in Western Sydney. It’s a group of passionate young people active in their local communities and committed to making Western Sydney a better place for young people.
Membership is for young people aged 12 to 25 years of age who live, work or study in the Western Sydney local government areas of Auburn, Bankstown, Blacktown, Blue Mountains, Camden, Campbelltown, Fairfield, Holroyd, Hawkesbury, The Hills, Liverpool, Parramatta and Penrith.
The team have organised amazing conferences such as ‘What’s Up West?’, which aims to equip young people with the skills and knowledge to create social change. On top of actively learning about advocacy and community development, the group is working on a youth-led peer-to-peer mental health initiative, called ‘Friend2Friend’, which will be piloted in Western Sydney high schools throughout 2015.
Outburst! is a great opportunity to meet like-minded people, learn new skills, and add something different to your resume.
We take on new members in May and November of every year.
