What Makes You Smile About Living in Western Sydney?

Stereotypes about young people in Western Sydney are wrong!

Join @YouthActionNSW to amplify the voices of young people across the region.

Privacy Information

This project is designed to challenge negative stereotypes about young people in Greater Western Sydney.

The survey is for young people aged 12-25 years in Greater Western Sydney. The survey asks “What makes you smile about where you live?”, and is open from 20 March 2017 - 17 April 2017.

How will Youth Action use the information I provide?

We are collecting your responses to better understand what young people in Greater Western Sydney enjoy about the areas they live. We will look at the key themes you tell us about and create a report, which we will send to every local Mayor, and every State and Federal Politician in Western Sydney.

The key themes will also be used to create a mural in Western Sydney. This will act as a physical and daily reminder of the importance of young people’s opinions.

Keeping your personal information private

Everything you say and the information you provide will be kept confidential. That means we won't use any information that would identify you specifically. You will be anonymous - even in the public report.

Providing your contact details is completely optional, and we will only contact you:

  • if you are one of the prize winners

  • when our report is ready so you can read it

  • if you nominated to be contacted to learn about more opportunities to be involved with Youth Action

We will never share your private information or contact details with anyone else without your permission.

What if I complete the survey and then change my mind?

If you’ve submitted your response to the survey and changed your mind about us using that information, that’s ok, but if you didn’t provide contact information on your response, we might not be able to remove your answers. Send us an email at info@youthaction.org.au or call us at (02) 8354 3700 and we'll try help you out.
