Why do you want to join the Youth Action Board?

I am impassioned to give of my time to the key peak body for young people in NSW and would be a great asset through board members status. I understand the important role Youth Action play in the landscape of youth service for NSW and seek to support and resource that valuable role. I would commit to making myself available to participate in advisory committees, speak at events and meetings and to the media, if and where appropriate within organisational delegation, and monitor/respond to policy and proposals. Involvement would support my career aspiration toward governance and NFP management.

What skills and experience would you bring to the Youth Action Board?

I bring 15 years youth sector experience and a near complete specialist bachelor of youth work’s skills and knowledge to the board. I am engaged in a range of sector reforms and other planning processes ensuring up to date knowledge supporting evidence-based informed decision making. I have extensive local government experience with over 10 years leading service provision and sector development through a diverse range of programs and initiatives. I have significant experience in the youth homelessness sector and have expertise in policy work, procedural development and outcomes measures.
