Why do you want to join the Youth Action Board of Governance?

I am passionate about ensuring the diverse range of young people's voices are heard by decision makers and believe Youth Action is a major player in making this happen. I have been on the Board for the past year and have seen first hand the great work they are doing to advocate on behalf of both young people and the sector. Bring on the Board is my way of giving back to support Youth Action to keep doing this vital work.

What skills and experiences would you bring to the Youth Action Board?

I have worked in the Youth sector for nearly 25yrs in casework, counselling, & youth development roles. This longevity in the field & diversity of roles gives me a strong understanding of a large range of issues impacting in both workers & young people & the role a peak body play in responding to these. My passion is youth participation and creating opportunities for young people to engage meaningfully within our services and within their communities.
