Why do you want to join the Youth Action Board?

I am deeply passionate about young people and the youth sector, having worked for 17 years in various youth related government and NGO roles. For the past 10 years I have worked at Glebe Youth Service.  I want a well-resourced youth sector supported by sound policy frameworks, and, an increasingly professional youth sector. I want young people to have a voice and I want their voice to be heard loud and clear, YA are a critical agency for the young people of NSW and the youth sector. I’d love your support so I can continue on the board to support YA staff to do great work.

What skills and experience would you bring to the Youth Action Board?

I have extensive youth sector policy, service delivery and governance experience. I have many years experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people. I have a solid understanding of the role of a Board in supporting the behind the scenes function of an NGO Incorporated Association.
