Why do you want to join the Youth Action Board of Governance?

I have a great general passion for working with at risk young people. I have a particular interest in young people involved in the criminal justice system and assisting young people with their educational and employment goals. I would like to join the Youth Action Board of Governance as it represents all young people regardless, both those of disadvantaged young people and young people rights more generally. I like being a part of making a difference in young people's lives and would like to continue doing that on a more systemic level than just focusing on young people in the area within which Project Youth operates.

What skills and experiences would you bring to the Youth Action Board?

I have been working in the youth sector for 20 years. I have been the Executive Officer at Project Youth for 9 years. I have a Bachelor of Social Science (Juvenile Justice) and a Diploma of Management I have well developed advocacy skills I have been a member of other peak organisation Boards and understand the Governance required for such organisations
