Outburst Western Sydney Youth Action Network

Outburst is a network of passionate young people active in their local communities and committed to making Western Sydney a better place for young people.

The Outburst Network offers opportunities for young people to take action on issues that affect young people in Greater Western Sydney

Outburst membership is for young people aged 12 to 24 years who live, work, or study in the Greater Western Sydney local government areas of Blacktown, Blue Mountains, Camden, Campbelltown, Canterbury-Bankstown, Cumberland, Fairfield, Hawkesbury, The Hills, Liverpool, Parramatta and Penrith.

To apply fill out an application form

We want Outburst to represent the diversity of young people in Western Sydney. We encourage young people from First Nations and culturally diverse communities, young people from regional areas, young people with disability, LGBTQIA+ young people, and young people doing it tough to apply. The application questions are to help us learn about what is important to young people in Western Sydney and what skills and life experience people bring to the network

A position on the network is for you if:

  • You have an interest in celebrating Western Sydney and making it a better place for young people
  • You are passionate about young people’s voices being heard and interested in participating in consultations
  • You’d like the opportunity to learn how to advocate for young people and collaborate with like minded peers in your community.
  • You’re interested in participating in group projects with a diverse group of young people

If you have questions or would like help with the application process contact Veronica Gordon, Western Sydney Project Coordinator.[email protected]
